New Delivery

The Union Hill Fire Department has taken Delivery of a 2007 E-One with a 1500 gpm pump, 750 gallons of water, 30 gallons of foam, and an 8 kW generator. This engine is stationed at house 1 and replaces our 1982 Sanford Engine.

Easter Egg Hunt

The Union Hill Fire Department held the annual Easter egg hunt on March 15, The firestation was filled with eager egg hunters young and old had a great time. Best of all NO mud!!!!! Union Hill's newest engine 132 had many visitors. Everyone was admiring the newest addition to the fleet of fire apparatus. Thanks to all the egg hiders (The Blakely Family, The Read Family, Dorfner Family, Willis Family, LoDestro Family, Jake White, Randy Scott, and Brandon Larner) See ya next year!!!!!

Holiday Parade

The Union Hill Fire Department participated in the Holiday parade in the Village of Webster. The group was led by the Grinch ( Chief Greg Read) and his faithful dog Max (Hannah Read). The Group was awarded the Grand prize for best holiday parade entry. The group included the Mary Ann and Laura Blakely and family, Read Family, Dorfner Family, Scott Schell, Bill Kurrash, Drew Vorndran, Sergio Vega, Jesse Parks, Aaron King, Dan Lodestro, TJ Halstead and Dalton

We finally won the big prize!!!!!!!!!!

Explorer Post 333 Visit

The Union Hill Fire Department hosted Explorer Post 333 from Webster on Oct 22nd . This special group of individuals has been visiting Union Hill for over 35 years. Some members come from the area group homes and others come with their families. This is truly a special night for the explorers and their families.

Explorer Graduation

The Union Hill Fire Department welcomed the newest graduate from their Explorer Post 540. Bethany Ruggero joined the department at the August Meeting. Bethany achieved her EMT in June 2007. Good Luck Bethany

Working Fire

Union Hill Firefighters responded for a garage the night of August 1st on Lake Rd. 1C33 was on location with a working garage fire. Command reported a garage fully involved with exposure to neighboring house and a truck on fire in the driveway. Ontario, Webster and Lincoln were all brought into the scene while West Webster filled in at station #1. Command reported the fire under control in about 25 minutes.

Graduation

The Union Hill Fire Department attended the graduation of Jason Cernis from Monroe County Firefighter 1 class on July 16, 2007. Jason was a former Explorer with the Union Hill Fire Department and also obtained his EMT Certification in January 2007. Jason's family was also in attendance along with Chief Read, Assistant Chief Mike Buck and Captain Mary Ann Blakely. Well done Jason!!!!!!
